High Performance of Bacterial Strain Isolated from Bio-Extract for Cellulose Production

چکیده
Bacterial cellulose (BC) producing bacterial strains were isolated from bio-extract (BE). Nine isolates that can produce BC in Hestrin–Schramm medium (HS medium) identified. The production of these was then investigated using agricultural waste as a raw material. (banana, papaya, dragon fruit, and mango peels) used carbon source for production. After incubation, the highest dry weight reached 0.93±0.27 g/L, 4.07±0.27 g/L obtained isolate BE073 containing fruit peels because materials state is appropriate growth. In with papaya peel, BE052 at about 1.08±0.05 g/L. None able to grow banana medium. However, all could HS maximum weights 4.31±0.45 4.23±0.13 4.21±0.25 BE123, BE052, BE073, respectively, Acetobacter xylinum produced 2.39±0.11 structure physical properties characterized. It similar reference strain A. xylinum. This study demonstrates ability bio-extract. also demonstrated suitable alternative material

Phenol biodegradation by bacterial strain O-CH1 isolated from seashore
phenol and phenolic compounds are among the most recognized environmental pollutants which exist in industrial wastewater and enter the biological cycles due to the solubility in water. Bioremediation is one of the cost-effective and Eco-friendly methods for phenol removal. In this study, the most effective phenol-degrading bacterial strain was isolated and identified from the shores of the Oma...

Production of bacterial cellulose by Acetobacter xylinum ATCC 10821 and 23770 in static cultures was tested from unamended food process effluents. Effluents included low-solids (LS) and high-solids (HS) potato effluents, cheese whey permeate (CW), or sugar beet raffinate (CSB). Strain 23770 produced 10% less cellulose from glucose than did strain 10821 and diverted more glucose to gluconate. Un...

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of a fibrolytic bacterium, Clostridium straminisolvens JCM 21531(T), isolated from a cellulose-degrading bacterial community. The genome information of this strain will be useful for studies on the degradation enzymes and functional interactions with other members in the community.
متن کاملEngineering control of bacterial cellulose production using a genetic toolkit and a new cellulose-producing strain.
Bacterial cellulose is a strong and ultrapure form of cellulose produced naturally by several species of the Acetobacteraceae Its high strength, purity, and biocompatibility make it of great interest to materials science; however, precise control of its biosynthesis has remained a challenge for biotechnology. Here we isolate a strain of Komagataeibacter rhaeticus (K. rhaeticus iGEM) that can pr...

Cellulose wastes of a wood and paper factory were used to produce activated carbon. Several chemical agents under various conditions were used for production of activated carbon and hence their adsorption properties have been evaluated. In addition the effect of process parameters such as raw material, chemical agent concentration, impregnation ratio, carbonization temperature, carbonization ti...
